Cinntra Accelerates Business Transformation as a Fast-Growing SAP Partner in India
Every SAP partner has a seminar presentation pack; however, few provide an interesting story. Cinntra does not start from a corporate board room or large company; it starts from the premise that Small and Medium Businesses (SMBs) ought to receive the same type of ERP guidance from SAP as does a large company. However, small and medium businesses should not pay the same price or be forced to accept a generic one-size-fits-all handbook.
The Gap Nobody Was Filling
The environment for small and medium businesses in India was significantly lopsided a few years ago. Large SAP consulting companies provided services only to larger clients, while all other small and medium-sized business clients received only leftover attention, generic templates, and delivery schedules that had been created for other companies' size and complexity.
identified this gap within the market at that time and decided to build differently. Instead of applying Enterprise methodology to small and medium business budgets, we created a unique Implementation Methodology specifically for Small and Medium sized businesses with small teams working on accelerated schedules, and used an approach designed specifically for Small- and Medium-sized businesses.
This decision laid the groundwork for everything else we did after that.
Earning Trust Through Discipline
Building trust takes time; each project, each deadline – that's how trust is developed in the enterprise software space. Having a demonstrated history of success is key to continuing to build that trust.
When we started our business, we put a great deal of focus on process discipline and eventually earned CMMI Level 3 Certification. For us, this certification was not about prestige or honour, but simply demonstrated that we had a defined methodology for project planning and execution, that our projects were consistently documented, and that we were able to deliver consistent, predictable results.
As a result of having built credibility with our clients through delivering successful projects, our clients no longer experienced chaos during the implementation of their projects, and their implementation timelines were virtually 100% accurate.
It was during this period of building founder commitment and brand credibility through successful SAP Business One and S4/HANA implementations that we built upon our CMMI Level 3 Certification to achieve SAP Gold Partner and Oracle Certified Partner status.
As a result of our proven methodologies, we had a single team that had success in the SAP environment of both programs. Typically, within regional consulting firms, it is very unusual to have a single team that has a proven successful methodology in two different program environments (SAP, Oracle). That level of proven success would be a pillar of reference for our clients when explaining to others why they chose to work with us versus a larger firm.
Listening Before Building
One of the greatest transformations within our organization occurred when we changed our mindset about S4/HANA and SAP Business One implementations from simply a software roll-out, to having an enormous business transformation impact.
By focusing on listening and gaining a full understanding of our clients' inventory challenges, finance reporting challenges, and the day-to-day issues and frustrations experienced by their teams prior to utilizing a system, we were able to develop system configurations, training plans, and go-live plans based on their business constraints.
Customers are seeing that they are using customized systems that take into account how their business operates, rather than a generic system that may not work well for them.
Moving Toward the Cloud
We were early adopters of RISE with SAP, which allowed us to help our customers migrate from large, on-premises infrastructures to subscription-based solutions. This has allowed our customers to decrease both the time it takes to implement an ERP solution and their initial implementation costs.
This is especially critical for customers without strong IT staff, as they can reduce their implementation timelines significantly. As a result, the timeframes for implementing an ERP solution have been shortened; maintenance has become easier; and the senior leadership of an organization has access to up-to-date information about operations without needing to hire a small army to support it.
Where Our Journey Stands Today?
What we now understand is that achieving this milestone is not related to one single historic event, but to many instances where we persevered in very similar situations. After that, there was the process of acquiring the relevant certifications (many times), followed by the same client acquisition process again, among others.
The combination of the above-mentioned factors and the continuous efforts in the Indian SME landscape have enabled us to evolve into one of the most exciting SAP partners in the India, and there is still more to come.
Each new system we implement becomes like another layer of our growth. System customization gives that company the capacity to grow more easily and is afforded because they spent the time on the quality of the implementation instead of taking the easier route. That accomplishment adds more weight to the certifications we have acquired. With this, we have gained the privilege and reputation of an SAP Partner.
